Wow, I let this one get away!

So, here it is, September. I did indeed finish the Credenza after an extended stay in the “Hot Box” … my shop. I just want to say that I envy those craftsmen with climate-controlled workshops. The heat in central Texas this summer was fairly brutal. So, dealing with the occasional “is it done yet” or “how is the cabinet coming along” and 100 plus degree heat, sweat dripping on project, finish material strongly suggesting using only within certain temperature ranges, drying too fast, waiting too long, yadda, yadda, yadda, it’s done.

People have a certain image in their head of how the end product should look; I have to get it to that standard in addition to my standard. There were a few instances where I had to sand down and redo a side because it didn’t quite blend/ match with the other sides. Then I realized, I could be doing this a lot, so I convinced myself to just get it done. It worked out better that way.

I did enjoy refurbishing the credenza, I’ve never been that thorough on a project before. Below are before and after pictures along with the new drawers that replaced the DVD slide out trays (yes, I said DVD).
