Learning as I go
So, the glaze was delivered in excellent condition. I read up on the best method for application with the products that I’m using. It turns out that I will need to apply a couple of coats of the finish before I can apply the glaze so that the wipe off process will work effectively. Yesterday I sprayed the second and final coat of Dark Truffle paint and now I’m ready to spray the first of two coats of Ultra Flat Clear Coat, Polycrylic. The final run down will be two coats of Polycrylic followed by a coating of glaze, then, at least two more coats of Polycrylic. The only textured surface on the cabinet is on the outside, so that will be the only surface that gets the glaze. So, once I get started it will be in two-hour blocks of spraying and drying. Can’t wait to see how it’ll turn out.
